Universal health care system is a form of government created in which each citizen of a country has access to different forms of medical treatments or care even if they can not afford to pay out of pocket. While citizens can pay for certain services out of pocket, most of the money for universal health care will come through taxes or insurance. One of the recent countries to introduce this form of medical treatment was successful in Germany under Otto von Bismarck. However, the first universal health insurance program was created in Britain. Other countries that provide universal health care are France, Australia and Italy. Almost all industrialized countries, the nation is currently offering some form of universal health care, with the exception of the United States. Although the definition of universal health care remains largely the same, the structures of the system vary from country to country.
The system also varies in terms of how the government is involved. For example, when some nations so that private doctors can provide their services, other countries do.
